Welcome to the Positive Negatives 'on-line' gallery and commercial portfolio. The images are all the work of one photographer, Paul Hickinbotham.
After graduating from De Montfort University with a B.A honours in Media, Paul
immediately found himself taking to his chosen profession and passion, working
as a photojournalist for the 'Leicester Mercury'. This however was a mere taster.
Since then he has gone on to cover such projects as documenting the Green Party
Conference and shooting for Fat Boy Slim, where his work was chosen for the album
cover 2002 "Live On Brighton Beach".
In Brighton he has exhibited at numerous venues, from Blanch House to the B.A.G gallery (During which
time he exhibited in 10 shows, finally leaving as the best selling artist). His artwork has gained recognition with a number of 'A' list celebrities and fellow artists alike, including one of his first edition prints being snapped up by Keith Tyson, winner of the 2002 Turner Prize.
An undying enthusiasm for travelling has found him all round the globe from
Africa to Laos through New Zealand to Egypt. Much of this time and experience
has influenced his rich portfolio.
Now an accomplished Photographer, Contemporary artist, Portraitist, Press/
photojournalist, Paul has become well able to tackle any criteria within his
field.
