I have a simple philosophy regarding weddings. The day should revolve around the people getting married, not the photographer. Each wedding is tailored to the specific needs of each couple as each and every wedding is as different and unique as you are.

Incorporating a non-intrusive approach to shooting weddings, I combine reportage photography with still life and portraiture to produce natural contemporary images which capture the true essence of the people and the day.

Using mostly natural light and shooting in both Black & White and Colour film, I look to capture the atmosphere, rather than try to create it! In this sense I regard myself not as a wedding photographer, but a photographer that "does" weddings. The difference being subtle but all-important.

Rates

Short day @ £1000
Either starting with the service and finishing at the first dance OR starting with you at home before the wedding and finishing just after the speeches. You would of course still have all the images taken on the day included into the price. Personally I would recommend the second option as although I take great evening shots there will be lot's of people with their camera's at the evening reception so you would have this part of the day partly covered by friends and family.

Full day @ £1200
Covering the whole day from beginning to end and everything in between. I would be taking shots throughout capturing all the moments that are so easily missed. Whilst friends and family usually bring along their cameras they often miss the moments that a professional would be looking out for with camera ready in hand. From experience once the drinks start to flow the cameras spend most of their time on the tables!
I would normally consider the cut off time to be around 09.30 pm.

For both options I will give you ALL of the photographs taken on the day. I usually shoot between 15-20 rolls of 36 on an average wedding, so you would end up with between 550 - 700 prints rather than the standard 40-60. Any you don't wish to use for your own album make very nice "thank-you" presents for friends and family.
